Counting the days until Christmas

Bella is so excited for Christmas, she wakes up every morning excited to open the next door of her advent calendar. She also loves to find the elf that is hiding in a new place everyday, this is because at night he goes and tells Santa if she is being naughty or nice. Bella of course, is always nice!
We were lucky that we got to go see Santa and Bella asked him for a Dora doll and a chicken??? Santa looked at me for the answer to that. Not that I had one! Bella is talking up a storm and her vocabulary is increasing by leaps and bounds. She is really into dancing lately, we signed her up for ballet class and she loves it. She especially loves to dance to Christmas carols.
Bella is learning a lot at school. In fact we were driving home the other day and Bella told me she could make a menorah out of her hands and she was singing the dradel song! She cracks me up, she really didn't understand why we don't have a menorah at our house.
She loves looking at the Christmas lights and telling me how beautiful they are. I am constantly amazed at all her questions about things. She is keeping us on her toes and I look forward to seeing her reaction Christmas morning!

Falling for Fall

We have been quite busy this fall. We have taken many day trips during the weekends. We have visited Drumlin farm in Concord, MA. Bella especially likes stopping at the farm stand and driving the tractor with all the kids. We have been working on potty training and I am happy to report......WE ARE IN BIG GIRL UNDERWEAR! That seems to be the highlights of Bella's mornings is picking out which one she will wear that day.
We were lucky enough to have my niece Reagan overnight. We took the girls to the Topsfeild fair. They were so good together..they are finally big enough to ride some rides on thier own. Reagan took really great care of Bella. Bella seems to be a bit more of a daredevil than Reagan. Bella almost climbs into the animals pens with them!
We also traveled to Andover to pick out a special pumpkin for Halloween. We went on Hayrides, listenend and danced to a band (Bella loves to dance!) and went to the pumpkin patch..where Bella picked out a VERY tall pumpkin. She also loved the apple cider donuts they had.
Bella is growing up so fast, she loves telling us about fall. She knows that when the leaves change color and fall off the trees that it will then be winter. When it is winter it gets very cold and sometimes we see snowflakes! (HER OWN WORDS!) Recently she has added that Santa will be coming too!
We went to Boo at the Zoo in Stoneham, she got to trick or treat early with the animals. She loved it, not sure about her costume though. She doesn't like anything too tight! She is going to be a half devil/half angel. I thought that it totally fits her personality lately!
She just began ballet class this week. She absolutley loves it. It is fun to watch her try to dance in her ballet slippers.
She continues to make us smile everyday...I just can't say enough how fast she is growing up and how smart she is! (Andy is ready to send her to kindergarten)

End of Summer

As summer comes to a close, everyone in my house is sad. Daddy has already gone back to work (and took a new job) Mommy is getting ready to go back, I know this because we have been talking about going back to school an awful lot! I have had such a great summer and am constantly growing and learning. Mommy says I am so independant, I don't really like listening lately (especially when I don't get my own way!)

Mommy has been working with me on my letters, my favorites are m and l and I always recognize them in words. I am having a harder time figuring out my numbers, so I guess I am more like mommy in the math department. I look forward to going back to school to see my friends. I just went to the zoo with my friend Sophie, I sure do miss her over the summer. It was like we were never seperated at the zoo, we caught up on old times!

Well...look for more adventures to come over the year. Hope everyone enjoyed their summer as much as I have!

A little more vacation

What a blessing it is to have both mommy and daddy off for the month of July. I am so lucky that I have been able to go to the beach quite a bit, it was so fun with nana and bumpa. My nana built the most amazing sandcastles, bumpa said I must be special because he doesn't ever remember that happening in lots of years! I also went to the Barnstable fair with mom, dad, nana, and bumpa...I loved the rides I rode the carousel twice with my nana...the animals were great too! Then it was off to Nantucket to visit with my friends Christopher and Thomas. (I love Thomas!) We had so much fun...Mommy told me she was excited to visit her best friend, but it was the best for me because I loved being with my new friends. We played and turtled...just look at the pictures...so much fun. Then I went to Gloucester and again got to play on the beach. I love the sun and sand, can you tell from my tan. I only hope everyone enjoys their summer like I do.

Bella's summer

We certainly have had a busy summer, full of fun and growing up. We no longer use our binky at nightime and have started to wear big girl underwear! (I can't wait until it is one pair a day!)Bella is talking up a storm and has become quite savvy in her vocabulary, and quite a bit sarcastic, wonder where that comes from?
We traveled to Storyland where Bella absolutely fell in love with Cinderella. In fact now when we drive through Boston, she thinks lots of the big buildings are Cinderella's castle! She loved going on the super fast rollercoasters and her all time favorite ride everywhere is the carousel.
We have done quite a few beach trips. Where Bella loves the water, sand and sun. Which is a good thing, because her parents quite enjoy being beach bums with her. She amazes us how she constantly finds friends at the beach. Most recently she found a few 10 year olds who just adored her and played with her all afternoon. She is quite lovable if I do say so myself.
We have really enjoyed our summer this far and look forward to continuing updating you about Bella's journeys!
