Grovin' and Shakin'

We have been quite busy lately...Olivia is growing and changing quickly. I guess I forgot how fast Bella grew..She is smiling and beginning to respond to my voice and singing..I am no American Idol! Bella is 4 now and she is quickly going on 16, you're not my friend and slamming the door are two new interesting past times...I remember praying for Bella to talk! Ha...She is wonderful though, she is very empathatic and always puts others before herself. She is a wonderful big sister and can't show Olivia too much love. When Olivia sees Bella enter a room she lights up and starts smiling immediatley. Too funny. I guess the bond between sisters begins immediately. We are having lots of fun, but this vacation is the first time it has truly felt like we have two children, we were both always busy. Olivia has just started sleeping in her crib overnight and we are happy, but not as happy as Bella who wants everything to be fair! We are enjoying all our experiences as a family of four and look forward to lots of memories..

Welcome Olivia

Well it has been quite a while since I last updated the blog. I have been a very busy girl. I had a great summer, filled with beach, friends and even a little vacation to storyland. I have developed quite a sense of self. I am very independant and give my parents quite a hard time lately. My mom tells me all the time I am 3 not 13! I have begun to stomp up the stairs, slam my door and tell my mom I need space..leave me alone. My parents are in big trouble during my teenage years! The biggest excitement has been waiting for the arrival of my baby sister Olivia! It took a long time for her to come, but I told mommy it was like magic..my Nana and Grandpa came to get me when my mom went into labor and when I came home 3 days later..there was Olivia.

Olivia was born on November 30, 2009. She was 7pnds 12 ounces and ready to go. She has been a great little sister. She hardly fusses. Although I do call her a pooping machine! I didn't know all babies really did was fuss, poop and sleep. I love being a big sister..my favorite things to do with Olivia are holding her and rubbing her back and telling her 'Its okay sweetie'.

Olivia loves her big sister, in fact her first smile was at her big sister.

Olivia is 6 weeks and really alert, she loves to laugh and smile. She is sleeping wonderful (about 9 pm to 6 am!) Yeah, her mommy and daddy are so thankful. We love having a new addition and it is so great that she is such a wonderful little girl.

We have been quite busy since Olivia was born, we celebrated Christmas, New Years and baptized Olivia.

It has been quite a whirlwind. It is finally relax time. I am home until March and hope to just spend time with my girls. It is so fun to see them grow and of course their personalities! Hopefully I will be updating my blog more in the future....

Moving and Shaking

It has been quite a long time since I last updated what has been going on over the past few months. I had a wonderful Christmas, Santa was really good to me. I even got the chicken I asked for! Then I got to go away for a special vacation for a family reunion. We went with my aunts and uncles and I got to spend some extra time with my cousin Stacia. I wanted to teach her everything, I do miss her. I keep telling Mommy and Daddy I want to go to Kansas to visit her.

My January was a pretty sick month. I ended up getting pnenumonia...mommy felt so bad for me. Now I have to be on my treatment all the time. I am feeling much better now. We have had so much snow and I love playing in it. My favorite time is getting to stay at home on a snow day with Mommy and Daddy.

February is the best month because it is my birthday!!! I started off the month going to my best friends Sophie's birthday party. I even got to ride ponies at her house. On Main Street in Wakefield, can you believe it??? I really wanted ponies at my party, but mom said we were going to Turks and Caicos instead...bummer! I had such a great time at the beach though.

I got to stay in a special hotel room with my Nana and Grandpa and Mommy and Daddy stayed downstairs! Nana let me have special vacation cereal, yummy. I played in the water and sand everyday....Grandpa made me castles, mermaids and even an elephant in the sand...WOW! I was such a big girl and got to go out to restaurants every night. The best was on my birthday there were fireworks, we could see from the restaurant. I must be really special.

I even got two parties, one at the beach with my new friends and a Fancy Nancy party at home with all my CRAZY family. That is what I call my family now-a-days! I got lots of great gifts and one of my favorites was my new fish....I named him AL!!

I am constantly keeping my mommy and daddy busy. I am learning about healthy bodies at school right now, I know what foods are good for me and which ones aren't. Daddy did try to tell me chips are healthy for him...ha! I went to the dentist and had a lot of fun, I have 20 teeth an no holes (cavities)!

I am working on beginning to write my letters and numbers. I love school and learning. I have been reading books to my new pet fish, Al. He loves all the books I read to him. He is a great pet, except I can't pet him, I do want to though. Mom said I can never put my hands in the bowl it will scare him!

Mom says I am growing like a weed, and I look forward to the warmer weather. I really want to plant some flowers and play outside, hopefully soon.

Counting the days until Christmas

Bella is so excited for Christmas, she wakes up every morning excited to open the next door of her advent calendar. She also loves to find the elf that is hiding in a new place everyday, this is because at night he goes and tells Santa if she is being naughty or nice. Bella of course, is always nice!
We were lucky that we got to go see Santa and Bella asked him for a Dora doll and a chicken??? Santa looked at me for the answer to that. Not that I had one! Bella is talking up a storm and her vocabulary is increasing by leaps and bounds. She is really into dancing lately, we signed her up for ballet class and she loves it. She especially loves to dance to Christmas carols.
Bella is learning a lot at school. In fact we were driving home the other day and Bella told me she could make a menorah out of her hands and she was singing the dradel song! She cracks me up, she really didn't understand why we don't have a menorah at our house.
She loves looking at the Christmas lights and telling me how beautiful they are. I am constantly amazed at all her questions about things. She is keeping us on her toes and I look forward to seeing her reaction Christmas morning!

Falling for Fall

We have been quite busy this fall. We have taken many day trips during the weekends. We have visited Drumlin farm in Concord, MA. Bella especially likes stopping at the farm stand and driving the tractor with all the kids. We have been working on potty training and I am happy to report......WE ARE IN BIG GIRL UNDERWEAR! That seems to be the highlights of Bella's mornings is picking out which one she will wear that day.
We were lucky enough to have my niece Reagan overnight. We took the girls to the Topsfeild fair. They were so good together..they are finally big enough to ride some rides on thier own. Reagan took really great care of Bella. Bella seems to be a bit more of a daredevil than Reagan. Bella almost climbs into the animals pens with them!
We also traveled to Andover to pick out a special pumpkin for Halloween. We went on Hayrides, listenend and danced to a band (Bella loves to dance!) and went to the pumpkin patch..where Bella picked out a VERY tall pumpkin. She also loved the apple cider donuts they had.
Bella is growing up so fast, she loves telling us about fall. She knows that when the leaves change color and fall off the trees that it will then be winter. When it is winter it gets very cold and sometimes we see snowflakes! (HER OWN WORDS!) Recently she has added that Santa will be coming too!
We went to Boo at the Zoo in Stoneham, she got to trick or treat early with the animals. She loved it, not sure about her costume though. She doesn't like anything too tight! She is going to be a half devil/half angel. I thought that it totally fits her personality lately!
She just began ballet class this week. She absolutley loves it. It is fun to watch her try to dance in her ballet slippers.
She continues to make us smile everyday...I just can't say enough how fast she is growing up and how smart she is! (Andy is ready to send her to kindergarten)

End of Summer

As summer comes to a close, everyone in my house is sad. Daddy has already gone back to work (and took a new job) Mommy is getting ready to go back, I know this because we have been talking about going back to school an awful lot! I have had such a great summer and am constantly growing and learning. Mommy says I am so independant, I don't really like listening lately (especially when I don't get my own way!)

Mommy has been working with me on my letters, my favorites are m and l and I always recognize them in words. I am having a harder time figuring out my numbers, so I guess I am more like mommy in the math department. I look forward to going back to school to see my friends. I just went to the zoo with my friend Sophie, I sure do miss her over the summer. It was like we were never seperated at the zoo, we caught up on old times!

Well...look for more adventures to come over the year. Hope everyone enjoyed their summer as much as I have!

A little more vacation

What a blessing it is to have both mommy and daddy off for the month of July. I am so lucky that I have been able to go to the beach quite a bit, it was so fun with nana and bumpa. My nana built the most amazing sandcastles, bumpa said I must be special because he doesn't ever remember that happening in lots of years! I also went to the Barnstable fair with mom, dad, nana, and bumpa...I loved the rides I rode the carousel twice with my nana...the animals were great too! Then it was off to Nantucket to visit with my friends Christopher and Thomas. (I love Thomas!) We had so much fun...Mommy told me she was excited to visit her best friend, but it was the best for me because I loved being with my new friends. We played and turtled...just look at the pictures...so much fun. Then I went to Gloucester and again got to play on the beach. I love the sun and sand, can you tell from my tan. I only hope everyone enjoys their summer like I do.
